Earth Story is currently working with local schools in Sydney on environmental restoration and education projects. All projects are specific to each school and can be tailored to each classroom’s needs.

Abbotsleigh Junior School

Earth Story has worked with the Abbotsleigh Junior School’s Environment Club. We met for a workshop that focused on knowledge sharing about environmental responses to wildfire; traditional land management techniques that reduce the chance of wildfires; current seasonal and climactic patterns, and their floral indicators; and sowed some Murnong seed (Daisy Yam – Microseris lanceolata).

We look forward to working with the Environment Club to help expand their already stunning Bush Tucker Garden into the future!

"The workshop was a highly engaging and authentic learning experience for the students. They enjoyed listening to the expertise and knowledge about the land and Country from Greg, and enthusiastically participated in the planting of the daisy yam seeds. We are looking forward to watching them grow!"

West Pymble Public School

Earth Story is collaborating with staff and students at West Pymble Public School, to create a locally indigenous bushland garden adjacent to their school oval. This restoration includes planting and knowledge sharing workshops; a natural outdoor learning space; a dry creek bed, to correct a pre-existing stormwater drainage issue; and, out-of-school student, parent, staff and P&C working bees. We look forward to continuing this project with the innovative staff and students at West Pymble Public School into the future.
